Really wish I was better at keeping up with your Blog! Just reading about Bagnoli makes me want to go back for a visit! I am so sorry about Justin’s dad, and have all of you in my prayers. Please give me a call when you get a chance…I would love to see you two soon…maybe we can do breakfast?

Wow what incredible similarities! Bagnoli is just so small and cozy, it’s easy to love. I can only imagine it was difficult for our grandparents to leave. It’s remarkable that we have such similar family backgrounds. Hope you enjoy the Bagnoli photos in the gallery.

My husband and I went to Italy for our honeymoon a year ago in October 2007. We too went to Bagnoli del Trigno where my Grandparents also come from. I thought it was beautiful and it was so wonderful to be able to see the house my grandfather grew up in and where my great-grandfather lived

Of all the dreams in my life, my visit to Bagnoli came true. But, experiencing it with my parents, husband and four children was indescribable. The room in the home my mother was born in, the cellar my grandpa made wine in, the castle ruins, the saint buried in the side of the hill, the cats wondering, the snails my mother used to roast on the fire and eat, the dinner table for 25 and the scuttone! Life is Beautiful.

Philip is getting married on Thursday and I am sure it will be beautiful.

Sarah, thanks for the gelato advice. We have left Roma and I have lost the opportunity for gelato near the Pantheon. However, today we are in Firenze (Florence) and I plan on making my way to Gelateria Vivoli next. I’ve heard they have the best assortment of flavors, like fig and orange chocolate. We’ll see.

I’m with my mom…she says, “hi!”
